A Complete Water Feature Hidden Beneath the Surface
Our fountain is designed to look naturally integrated into your landscape. The decorative fountain and surrounding stone are all you see—but beneath the surface is a complete recirculating system that stores, filters, and returns the water. The AquaBasin, pump, and flexible tubing work together quietly behind the scenes, keeping your fountain flowing while allowing the equipment to remain hidden from view.
HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS
Water Is Stored Underground
A durable AquaBasin is installed below ground and covered with a structural grate and decorative stone. The basin stores the water needed to operate your fountain while remaining completely concealed within the landscape.
The Pump Moves the Water
A submersible pump sits inside the AquaBasin. It draws water from the reservoir and pushes it upward through flexible tubing connected to the fountain.
The pump is selected according to the fountain’s size, height, and desired water flow.
Water Travels Through Hidden Tubing
Flexible, kink-resistant tubing carries water from the pump into the center underside of the fountain. The plumbing remains hidden inside the fountain, so there are no unattractive hoses visible around the finished installation.
Water Bubbles From the Fountain
Water reaches the top of the fountain and gently bubbles, spills, or cascades across its surface. The amount of flow can be adjusted to create anything from a peaceful trickle to a stronger, more noticeable sound.
The Water Returns to the Basin
After flowing over the fountain, the water passes through the decorative stone and grate before returning to the underground reservoir.
The pump then sends that same water back to the top, creating a continuous closed-loop system.

WHAT IS THE AQUABASIN MADE OF?
Built to Support Your Fountain
The AquaBasin is a heavy-duty molded underground reservoir designed to support the weight of the fountain and surrounding decorative stone.
Its reinforced top grate allows water to drain back into the reservoir while supporting the finished fountain display above it. Once installed, the basin is concealed with river rock, gravel, or other decorative landscape material.
Depending on the fountain you select, the visible feature may be made from durable fiber-resin composite, glass-fiber-reinforced concrete, or another weather-resistant material designed to provide the appearance of natural stone without requiring an extremely heavy solid-stone structure.
LOW-MAINTENANCE OPERATION
Relax and Enjoy the Water
Aquascape fountains are designed to be simple to enjoy. Because the water continuously recirculates, there is no need to constantly refill the entire system.
Normal maintenance may include:
• Adding water occasionally to replace evaporation
• Removing leaves or debris from around the fountain
• Cleaning the pump intake when needed
• Checking the water flow periodically
• Preparing the system for freezing Michigan temperatures
The pump remains accessible through the top of the basin, allowing maintenance to be completed without removing the entire installation.
EFFICIENT WATER RECIRCULATION
Designed to Reuse the Same Water
Unlike a fountain connected to a continuously running water supply, an AquaBasin system repeatedly circulates the water already stored inside the reservoir.
A properly sized submersible pump provides the water movement needed for your fountain. An optional timer can also be used to control when the feature operates.
Water use will vary based on evaporation, wind, splash, fountain size, and operating time, but the closed-loop design helps reduce the amount of replacement water required.
